Lego Disney Minifigures Series 2 Feel Guide
The anticipated Series 18 will arrive in stores April 1st, 2018, but LEGOLAND Florida got them early! It looks to me that this new series 18 LEGO Minifigure set is having a costume party to celebrate 40 Years of LEGO minifigures. Each Minifigure is either wearing a costume or bringing a gift. Each minifigure comes in a sealed 'mystery' bag, with one or more accessories, a collector's leaflet, and instead of a standard black display plate, this series comes with an orange display base-plate. The new orange base-plate is a nice addition and has more of a party vibe than the basic black ones.
Remember my tips from other guides and use the leaflet as a checklist for all 17 minifigures. On the reverse side of this leaflet, there are assembly instructions for some of the minifigures with a close-up of this 17-minifigure series.
Double faces are featured on the Spider, Elephant, Cactus, and Dragon costumes.
Here is my "Feel Guide"
- Elephant Ballerina
The Elephant head is the quickest way to find her. Feel for the tutu and the tiny mouse. The mouse is hard to feel because it's small. She has two printed faces which is always a bonus.
- Red Brick Dude
Feel for: His new 2×3 brick suit plus feel for his flat hair. The only way to know if you have the girl or guy is by feeling the hairpiece. They both come with a small brick accessory.
- Blue Brick Girl
Feel for the brick piece of course, but her hair is different than his. She has a ponytail.
4. Clown
You may be afraid of clowns, but if you're looking for him, he's easy to find. Feel for his hat. Clown costumes tend to exaggerate body parts like feet and noses, but this LEGO clown comes with a standard painted on nose and no shoes. He also comes with two balloon dogs and they are ADORABLE. On the back of the leaflet, there are instructions on how to put him together.
- Firework Dude
This will be another puffy bag. His firework Suit element is one big cylinder with a pointed top.
- Birthday Party Girl
She comes with a lot of pieces, but I like to feel for the balloon piece first. The gift is in two pieces and she comes with the two little circles.
- Dragon Costume Dude
His wings are an easy identifier. You can also feel his helmet.
- Policeman
Take a good look at this throwback minifig. His dot eyes are just like the 1978 LEGO from the 600 set. He even comes with the 600 box. A 1×2 flat tile and plate will be felt. His hat is small. You probably have a classic policeman in your collection. I was short on time so I decided not to get him. There is only one per box of 60 polybags, so it could take a while to hunt for him.
- Spider Costume Dude
This spider piece is simple to feel. You can also feel the back piece spider legs. Unlike the past Spider Lady and Spooky Boy, this is an actual spider costume.
- Birthday Cake Dude
The cake element is new and easy to make out. His tiny party hat could get lost easily in the cake piece or someplace in the package.
- Cactus
This is another super easy one to feel for. The unique cactus armed torso is a dead give away.
- Cat Costume
Feel for the fish piece. It's really the only piece like that in the series
- Race Car Dude
Feel for the car piece. You can also feel his helmet. There is a small chip feeling piece that clicks onto the car as an engine.
14.Flower Pot Girl
This one was tricky at first. The flowerpot felt a lot like the birthday cake piece to me. Feel for the flower also. My new friend Aliah helped me feel for this minifigure. The LEGOLAND Model Citizens are great at helping you find what you are looking for.
- Cowboy Costume Dude
Feel his hat and then the horse costume. HIs tail is a separate piece.
16. Balloon Party Boy
He has a lot of the same feels as the 6. Party Girl. He doesn't have a party hat. There is a little tile that looks like a blind bag. How clever.
- Unicorn Knight
This is kind of a two in one. It has a unicorn costume and a knight shield and sword. It is a great minifigure.
There you have it, my latest Minifig " feel guide". After the disappointment of the Batman Movie 2 set, Series 18 is awesome. This party-themed assortment to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the LEGO minifigure didn't disappoint. It's a small series with only 17 to collect. Which ones are you on the lookout for? Leave a comment and tell me if you have a favorite. Good luck hunting.
